Arnold Garnet participated in one of our first major
experiments in the Florida branch. I shouldn’t really say “we”, as his
experiment took place before I was even an agent to the Lonely Hearts
themselves. He was completely willing to participate.
A normal person would not have been willing. Arnold was not
a normal person by that point. Arnold did not desire to live anymore. He was a drunk who lost his family two times;
they left when Arnold was consumed by alcoholism, and then they left permanently
via a violent car collision.
He volunteered without any second thoughts. I guess he
regrets that now.
He was never the same after the experiment. He almost died.
He’s had circulatory problems and other types of health problems, and he’s
noticeably aged. He looks much older than he really should.
Not to mention what it did to his mind…
Alright. It’s time to head into the office and turn this
paperwork in.
I hope Arnold gets back on his feet soon.
